Information Collected and How It Is Used

Accessing ProDoc Servers

In the process of accessing our server, or third-party servers leased to ProDoc ("Servers"), to register or update ProDoc ® software or other products (Software) via online internet services, ProDoc will collect information regarding the name of the law firm associated with the registration code for the Software, the name and state bar number of the attorney on whose behalf the Software is being registered, and information regarding the users of the Software for account maintenance and registration purposes. ProDoc does not collect any information regarding any client of the attorney or client of the law firm as part of the registration or update process.

In addition, ProDoc collects and stores server log data as personally identifiable information while accessing the ProDoc server during the registration and update process. Personally identifiable information collected includes HTTP headers such as web browser version, IP address, operating system and the host sending the request and the date and time of any downloads and the data that was downloaded. During the registration and update process, we may collect information from Users such as the hardware, software, and other equipment that you use. We use this information to generate statistics, measure server activity, monitor and control Software licenses and access to Software, and to improve our services.

This information may be shared with third parties in order to provide these services or to analyze, store, or aggregate the information. It may also be shared with other third parties working with us to improve the services of ProDoc. All information exchanged while accessing our Servers during the registration and download process is via a secure server connection.

Website Usage

ProDoc may collect and store typical Web server log data during normal website usage. Examples of this type of data include the name of your Internet service provider, the website that referred you to us, any pages you request, and the time and date of those requests. ProDoc uses this information to generate statistics and measure website activity. This same information may be shared with third parties in order to provide these services or to analyze, store, or aggregate the information. It may also be shared with other third parties working with us to improve the services of ProDoc or our website. This type of data generally does not contain personally identifiable information. When collected, the connection is not secure.

We may request credit card or financial institution account information when you purchase a product or service (Financial Information). Any Financial Information that ProDoc collects is used only to bill User for the products and services requested. The Financial Information may be provided to User's credit card provider, financial institution, contracted third-party service providers, and the courts for purposes of processing payment. When Financial Information is collected online, it is via a secure server connection.

We may request personal information from you when you register for ProDoc forums, contests, surveys, or subscription services. We may then contact you with information about other ProDoc products or services.

We may collect information from you such as the hardware, software, and other equipment that you use in the process of providing technical support or training.
